Interview

In the room, there were three gentlemen, two of them were men, and the other was …

Three folders, typical government folders, were placed on the table.
I was asked to open the one on the right and "read" the passage.
When I was"reading", the Chairman said, "You can start now."
I thought, "I am already reading."
Few seconds later, the Chairman said, "Please read it out."
Oh…I misunderstood the instruction…so embarrassing…

After reading the passage, I closed the folder, and our conversation began.

B = Interviewer(s), I = Interviewee
B: What's the passage about?
I: Duties of TCs, capabilities of the runways etc.
B: Why you choose to be a SATCO?
I: For some reasons, I am not qualified as a CP or FA. SATCO is the only way for me to step in the air transport industry.
B: Have you ever tried to apply CP?
I: No.
B: Why?
(I "moved" my hand over my head)
I: I am too short.
(They laughed.)
B: Understandable.
B: What you have prepared for the interview?
I: Browsed the website of the Department, read something about radio communications etc.
B: Convince us, why we should choose you?
I: Academic background, working experience, IT knowledge, heart, a valuable chance to me.
B: You mentioned you are interested in this industry, so, let’s come to some technical questions. Why a plane can fly?
I: Lift and thrust.
B: Have you traveled by plane?
I: Yes.
B: Can you describe its shape?
I: 747-400, winglet, four engines etc.
B: How many runways we have in our airport?
I: 2, North and South.
B: How we identify them?
I: 07 and 25.
B: How to determine which runway to be use?
I: Wind direction.
B: Into the wind or …?
I: Into the wind.
B: What equipment is used in control tower?
I: SMR…
B: Control region/zone (I forgot the question)
I: Sorry…
B: ~200 miles.
B: Calculation. From x feet to y feet, climbing speed at z. It is now 8:45 at x, when will the plane reach y.
I: 8:53.
B: How you get the answer?
I: Height difference divided by climbing speed and adds to 8:45.
B: A pilot said a green object is at three o’clock, the plane is directing north, where is the object.
I: On the right, that's East.
B: What to do if two planes are at the same altitude and moving towards each other.
I: Ask one to climb and the other to descend.
B: What's the difference between the Department you are working in and other government departments in terms of financing?
I: TF.
B: Means?
I: blah blah blah…
B: Can you name one TF government department?
I: OFTA.

Of course this is not the complete conversation. (If so, I must be failed)
May be the answers are not correct, but that's what I have answered.
Many thanks if you can correct me. (Welcome to "put money in my pocket", haha...)
